Can secrets ruin a friendship?

Natalie Noel lives in the same Wyoming town where she grew up, but she isn’t home. Natalie’s content to stay in her hole of self-pity until Marcela Brookes moves to town. The pretty newcomer offers Natalie something she hasn’t had in a long time—friendship. Marcela should be easy for Natalie to ignore, except she’d make the perfect match for Natalie’s single, younger brother.

Natalie’s friendship with the newcomer, Marcela, has her stepping into an unheard of role for herself— match-maker.

This isn’t just about her brother though, that has her stepping far out of her comfort zone. All the unwanted attention she’s getting from a certain fireman may push her over the edge. Natalie’s new friend has her willing to open up her heart to love again, but Marcela isn’t being completely honest. When she falls for Natalie’s brother, her secrets begin to unravel. Natalie’s new confidant has lied to her and those lies could come back to hurt them all. Can Natalie ever trust her friend—or her heart again?

Like Home, the debut novel from Jen Atkinson, is a charming book populated with warm and earnest characters who take root deep in your heart. Set against the wide expanse of the Wyoming country, this story follows Natalie Noel and Marcella Brooks on their parallel journeys to find friendship, romance, and escape from the secrets that threaten to tear them apart.

"In a world full of problems, it's rare to find a book so well written with the simple yet complex tale of love and hope. Can we forgive? Yes. Can we change? Yes. Can we learn to trust and love again? Yes. I read this book from cover to cover in one evening. It was as gripping as it was funny, as sweet as it was romantic. You will fall in love with the characters as they learn

to fall in love again, too. This book is a restorer of hope; it's like home."

OLIVIA BENSON’S life was on target, great boyfriend, respectable major, loving parents. She didn’t have time for the unknown, but when Olivia’s estranged grandmother dies, leaving her an unexpected inheritance—the unknown is all she can think about. Olivia will never forget the last time she saw Grandma Amelia—all those years ago, crying next to the open floorboards for someone Olivia had never heard of before.   Olivia never did tattle on her—but now it would seem as if Amelia wanted her secrets found, and she knew exactly who could find them.

Living in her grandmother’s tiny town and old house, Olivia begins her search. Rendezvous’ residents can’t keep their eyes off her, the new girl. And living next door to Logan—her alluring neighbor, is making her forget everything and everyone she left behind.

Everybody has secrets but what do you do if you uncover a secret so big, it will change your entire life and everything you know to be true? “Knowing Amelia” is an amazing story of self-discovery, mystery, strength and hope. The premise is so entirely captivating that I couldn’t put it down. It will capture your heart and you too will find yourself longing to know Amelia all the while, falling in love with and cheering for the other characters along the way.
